Refund policy
On rare occasions your customers may experience a fault or quicker wear than expected with their Slipfree product. If this occurs please ask your customer to send you picture evidence of the issue or if in store please yourself take a photo of the issue. You can then email wholesale@slipfreee.co.uk with the images and details of the design & size they ordered. Our team will review and in the majority of cases provide you (the retailer) with an exchange, a credit note or a refund. The products need to have been purchased within the previous 3 months.
Please don't encourage your customers to contact us directly as we have to refer them back to the place they purchased them from as that is where the contract of sale occurred. Any of your customers who contact us directly will be directed back to where they purchased them from.
Regarding our foil prints products, they all carry a warning on the front of every product, which states " **The fabric of this product was designed using foil-print technology. Since foil-prints are not as durable , products with this print may wear and fade faster**. Where possible please make sure your customer is aware of this before purchasing.
As a useful guide to be able to communicate with your customers around returns, please see below some possible reasons some people may experience early wear on Slipfree Shoes:
1) Hole in the soles under the toes
This can be caused (usually over a period of time) if a child applies more pressure through their toes than evenly across the whole sole of the foot in the way they walk, run or play, this can often change as a child grows. Such wear can also be accelerated by the temperature underfoot as well as the abrasiveness of surfaces worn on.
2) Hole at the front end between the upper fabric and sole material
The holes right at the front end where the big toe sits can be caused if there is not quite enough wiggle room in the toe area- The force of the big toe on the front seam repeatedly when a child runs and stops suddenly can cause pressure that eventually will start to open. If replacing we would suggest the customer trying the next size up.
3) Foil print wearing off
The foil print shoes do come with a warning that is visible on the labelling of the product
‘’**The fabric of this product was designed using foil-print technology. Since foil-prints are not as durable , products with this print may wear and fade faster**’’
The fading can be accelerated by how much contact the upper fabric has with the ground as well as the differing levels of chlorine in different pools which can be minimised by rinsing thoroughly after each wear.
4) Fading/pilling on upper fabric
The fading can be caused by a few factors. The upper fabric is essentially swimming costume material which gives the shoes their wonderful barefoot feel and allows them to be able to be worn while swimming. If this delicate upper comes into contact repeatedly with the ground or bottom of the pool as opposed to just the soles in the way a child may play or move, this can cause the pilling and fading which would be most noticeable on the darker fabrics. The differing levels of chlorine in different pools can also accelerate this fading which can be reduced by rinsing thoroughly in warm water after each use. The fading often only affects the shoes cosmetically and without any other damage they can still be used to protect the wearers feet.
